Everything else!

So all my blog posts are about the girls. I know that is probably the only reason people check it out....but I thought I would do some updates on the other "things" going on..
Our puppies!
Well I guess they aren't puppies anymore. Callie is now three years old. She has started to calm down a little more but she is still hyper compared to Ray. We have gone back and further on whether the dogs would be staying when the second baby came. Well the second baby is here and we are living in harmony! so we are a family of six! Some days it can be a bit much and I will just put them outside or giving them a time out in their crate. but for the most part they lay on the living room floor and let Shayne climb all over them. Shayne loves the dogs! Ray is her favourite. She uses him as a couch. Callie loves Shayne cause Shayne likes to share her food.
Chris:
Chris went back to GFL after being at Powell for a month, he was concerned about jobs security and hours over the winter and GFL made him an offer which he took. He is also doing what makes him happy and that is operating the truck. I secretly think he went back because he knew he would be home less to deal with all us girls. with him going back he does work the longer hours and is back on call. He is on call for thanksgiving weekend which is disappointing.
The House:
Well the house is the house...part of me wishes we did more to it before we had kids.Shayne's new room is done and I love it, its probably one of my favourite rooms when I am not cleaning out her drawers. It is never easy to keep the house clean anymore. I pick up Shayne's toys three to four times a day. I've avoided the play room all summer because it is in the basement and their are so many bugs it just creeps me out. Our neighbours tree fell over on our clothes line and was pulling our deck rail over. our neighbour decided to come into our back yard and cut our clothes line making the tree completely fall over in our yard. Thankfully the landlord got someone to come and remove it. and will be replacing our deck rail in spring, Chris will just have to re enforce it for now.
ME:

I am adjusting to being a mom of two. I find it hard sometimes to balance my time between the two. Raelynn doesn;t really do much but eats all the time. Where Shayne wants to cuddle/ be on me all the time. I feel bad if I am feeding Raelynn and Shayne wants me. I am below my prepregnancy weight and just need to get to my prepregnancy weight I was was with Shayne. only 8lbs to go and some tummy toning.

18 months

my baby is a year and half old!
She weights:25lbs and is 34inches long.
Her hair is coming in nice in the back it is almost to her shoulders, sadly the top is not coming in as nice. it is a dirty blonde, almost brown colour. she has big brown eyes like her daddy.
 She has gone down in her clothing sizes to 18 months. she is even wearing some of her 6-9 month clothes. she is in size 5 shoes.
She LOVES:
 Madagscar movies! We have them all, even the penguins tv episodes.
 She still loves to read, 50 below is one of the favourites.
She also loves her build a bears especially the one she made with grandma.
she all over ray all the time, I feel so bad for him. she sits on his head.

she is already a typical kid and loves pizza and pasta.
she only likes homemade cookies now. thankful her gma makes us dough all the time.
she will eat sweets but she will chose raisins and a fruit cup over smarties or bagged cookies. also she is more of a veggie girl than meat
FIRSTS:
she went to the movies for the first time with my aunt and her girls.
She is now a big sister.
She is also now throwing tantrums and know exactly what she is wants.
She had her first peach and loved it ate it with both hands.
she is mocking our actions. she changes her babies bum when I am changing her bum. she tries putting on her own clothing and even brings us our shoes and puts them on our feet.
she is all about clips and how they work. she is always trying to do up her own carseat and undo it.
we are working on her flash cards because since raelynn came home she has been talking less.

3 weeks

It's week 3 and I feel like an old pro....yeah right! I am getting more comfortable and figuring out what routine works for me. But I know that won't last. Raelynn is already sleeping less and less. So that means that I need to pay attention to two little people. I am loving that she is more alert! Her eyes are so big. I always thought Shayne had chris's eyes but the more I look at Raelynn the more I see Chris's eyes. A Lot of people are telling me how Raelynn is Shayne's twin. I really don't see it. Yes I see some similarities. Raelynn makes a lot of same faces as shayne but I feel like her face is rounder, her eyes bigger, I think that she has my lips where shayne has chris's. I think the only thing they have in common is their nose.
 this week Raeylynn:
- had her first blow out.
- rolled and got stuck in the side of the crib.
- went to the cne for the first time.
- went to her first wedding.
What I've learnt this week:
-don't go on long care rides during a growth spurt with cluster feeding. and if you do keep lots of  tyelnol around because there will be screaming.
- after the cluster feeding comes a day of sleep...keep your pump close by.
- poop is contagious....when one of them poops the other one is not far behind.

week two

Well we survived our first week alone. We still had some visitors which really helps to break down the day.There were definitely moments when I wanted to pull out my hair. the moments when both girls are crying and I was trying to change one butt while the other was screaming. Also Shayne is waking up more at night, we aren't sure if it is night terrors, teething or her diaper rash. but thankfully the diaper rash is almost gone. We also went to the CNE this weekend. It was a fun day out as a family. We also went to Gigi  memorial. Raelynn's Doctors appointment went well, she is up to 7lbs, 12oz and is 19.5inches still. She still seems so small. She is wearing an outfit shayne wore at two weeks and she looks like she is swimming in it.

Some of the mom of two lessons of the week:
- there is always a diaper to change.
- there is no panicing or rushing to get a crying baby when you have two. I have told Raelynn to find her hand multiple times in the last weeks.
- tv on demand is a wonderful thing because I haven't watched a full show in two weeks.
- even thought an outfit looks small, its still not small enough.
- my husband isn't a mind reader, and I need to ask him for help.
- keys are a magical silencer.
- you get more cuddles from the oldest now.
